The Dark Tower II

About a week ago, more or less, I finished reading The Dark Tower II - The Drawing of the Three. I still don’t know anyone who has read these books, so I knew very little about it. What can I say? Well, it’s difficult for new readers. It has an excess of flashbacks and flashforwards, and that can greatly confuse the flow of reading. A lot of attention is needed when reading, as Stephen King has a habit of telling absolutely distinct stories and only at the end does he manage to unite them; while that happens, the reader has no idea what happened with the story. It’s an absolutely spectacular book. One of the best books I’ve read. King has the power to make you feel many things: from hilarity to terror, from sadness to disgust. His way of writing manages to touch your deepest sensations and emotions. I recommend this book, but first, I suggest reading All Fires the Fire, by Julio Cortázar. Good luck.
